Erasmus+ Programme KA2 STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP PROJECT
„Contemporary Approach to the Development of Spatial Comprehension through Augmented Reality Content“ SPACAR N° 2019-1-LT01-KA202-060471
The objective of the project was to develop the didactic toolkit which includes a set of practical exercises with 3D objects prepared for the use into the AR environment.
This didactic toolkit will help to develop the spatial skills of vocational and higher education students, gain practical experience in solving graphic exercises and provide an opportunity to improve the quality of graphic education.
Applying AR technology to support learning activities may become a trend for graphical engineering subjects. The AR program is a great tool to engage and entertain students during their studies. The AR didactic toolkit allows to create an attractive teaching methodology and increases the motivation of students to study graphical engineering subjects.
During the project, the didactic toolkit which includes a set of practical exercises with 3D objects prepared for the use into the AR environment were created. The didactic toolkit was tested in vocational schools and high schools.
The material was prepared in English, Lithuanian, Polish, Latvian, Spanish and German.
Software for AR 3D objects visualization.
The application can be used by high school teachers, vocational teachers and students studying the discipline of drawing. The goal of the app is for students and pupils to master 3D models and perform drawing practical tasks professionally. In the SPACAR program, the aim is for the teacher to use the teaching material with tasks and questions developed in the SPACAR project during the teaching, and the students perform practical tasks in AutoCAD or other program or draw drawings by hand. This interactive platform is designed with the ability for a teacher to upload their self-created drawing assignments to the SPACAR program.
The methodological materials of project were prepared by the scientists and practitioners from the European Union countries: Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Spain, Germany.
